In connection with his appointment, MC2, the private equity affiliate of The Chertoff Group, made an equity co-investment as part of DMI’s recapitalization led by OceanSound Partners, LP.

Before co-founding The Chertoff Group, Mr. Sweet served as the Chief of Staff of the United States Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Sweet began his career in the CIA’s National Clandestine Service and later worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Sweet is also a Member of the DHS Homeland Security Advisory Council, an Advisor to the National Cyber Moonshot Project, and a frequent commentator on national security issues for CNN, FOX, and CNBC. Mr. Sweet graduated with honors from Columbia University.
