Delta Energy & Communications appoints Tom Drolet to its Board as Independent Director

– USA, CA – Delta Energy & Communications (Delta), a smart grid energy solution, today announced Thomas S. Drolet has joined the Delta Board of Directors. With over forty years across energy businesses, in all aspects of electricity generation and use and especially in both distribution and transmission, Tom will provide significant knowledge and expertise that will help position Delta as a leader in providing smart grid energy solutions for electric, gas, and water utilities. He also has launched several technology companies and has advised a wide variety of mining companies on management and energy associated issues.

As an Independent Director, Mr. Drolet will be responsible for driving policies and fostering decisions on major company issues positioning Delta as a leader in the utility space. Currently, he is President of Nevis Renewable Energy International (NREI), a company in process of developing a 10 MWe geothermal plant for the Island of Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean.

Previously, Mr. Drolet was President and CEO of Western GeoPower Inc., a company in the renewable geothermal energy space, and was also President and CEO of GreenWell Renewable Power Corp., which was developing technology to use the energy in geo-pressurized abandoned oil and gas wells to produce electricity. He was also with Ontario Hydro for 27 years where he led Ontario Hydro International as President and CEO in taking electricity utility projects, products and services internationally to forty-four countries worldwide.
