Cvent announces Marcela Martin and Jim Frankola to its Boards as Independent Directors on completion of combination with $DGNS

– USA, VA –  Cvent Inc., a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider today announced Marcela Martin and Jim Frankola to its Board as upcoming Independent Directors, effective on the completion of the combination with Dragoneer Growth Opportunities Corp. II (Nasdaq: DGNS), which is expected to close on December 8, 2021.

The newly appointed Independent Board members will include the CFO of Squarespace, Marcela Martin; and former CFO of Cloudera, Jim Frankola, who will be Audit Committee Chairman.

About Marcela Martin

Ms. Martin has been CFO of Squarespace, a website building and hosting company, since November 2020. Before joining Squarespace, Ms. Martin held several executive leadership positions. Ms. Martin was CFO for Booking.com, a digital travel company, from January 2019 to November 2020 where she led the company’s finance function and oversaw finance operations, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions. Between January 2016 and December 2018, Ms. Martin was EVP and CFO of National Geographic. Between November of 1998 and December of 2015, Ms. Martin held positions with Fox International Channels, including EVP for Finance and CFO. In September 2021, Ms. Martin joined both the board of Avalara, a provider of tax automation for businesses, and the board of Chegg, Inc., an education technology company, as a member of the Audit Committee.

Ms. Martin received an M.B.A. from the University of Liverpool and received a bachelor’s in administration from Universidad de Morón with expertise in accounting.

About Jim Frankola

Mr. Frankola was CFO of Cloudera, a company that provides a hybrid cloud platform for data, between October 2012 and October 2021. In this position, Mr. Frankola oversaw finance, accounting, data, and information technology functions. Presently, Mr. Frankola is a Strategic Advisor to Cloudera and has been a Director of Ansys, a multi-physics engineering simulation software company, since March 2021. Before joining Cloudera, Mr. Frankola was CFO of Yodlee, a provider of cloud-based personal financial management solutions, from 2010 to 2012. Between 2006 and 2010, Mr. Frankola was a Director of ActivIdentity, an authentication and credential management company.
