Costain Group announces Fiona MacAulay to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Maidenhead –  Costain Group PLC (LON: COST) today announced the appointment of Fiona MacAulay to its Board as an independent non-executive director, effective from 6 April 2022.

“We are delighted that Fiona is joining our Board. She is an experienced non-executive director within the resources and industrial sectors and has significant credentials in ESG which will be important in supporting the delivery of our strategy which is focused on decarbonisation.” said Board Chair, Dr Paul Golby.

Fiona will join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees, and will become chair of the Remuneration Committee after the AGM to be held on 5 May 2022.

Fiona MacAulay is the non-executive chair and remuneration committee chair of IOG plc, senior independent director and remuneration committee chair of Ferrexpo plc, and non-executive director of Chemring Group PLC. Fiona was also until recently a non-executive director of Coro Energy PLC.

Before transitioning to a portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles in 2018, Fiona, a Chartered Geologist with over 35 years of experience, held senior roles and board positions in the upstream oil and gas sector across several large and small-cap companies including BG Group, Mobil, and latterly as COO of Rockhopper Exploration plc and CEO of Echo Energy PLC.
