CMC Markets appoints Clare Francis to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  CMC Markets plc (LON: CMCX) today announced the appointment of Clare Francis to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 19 December 2022.

“I am very pleased to welcome Clare to the Board of CMC and we are looking forward to working with her. Clare brings extensive knowledge of risk management frameworks and financial services to CMC which will help us as we continue to develop our diversification strategy,” said Board Chairman, James Richards.

Clare Francis will also become Chair of the Risk Committee, the Consumer Duty Champion for the Group, and a member of the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.

Clare Francis is currently a Board Director on the U.K. Department of International Trade’s TAG and Infrastructure Exports board. In a career spanning 25 years in banking and markets, Clare was most recently Europe Head of Global Banking, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank UK, and Global Head of Investors, Insurance, and Public Sector. Clare has also held roles as Global Head of Global Corporates & International at Lloyds Banking Group and was previously Head of European Financial Market Sales at HSBC, having begun her career at NatWest. She has sat on the Association of Financial Markets Europe and British American Business boards.
