Clean Harbors appoints Karyn Polito to its Board as Independent Director and announces Ed Galante as next Lead Independent Director

– USA, MA –  Clean Harbors, Inc. (NYSE: CLH), the leading provider of environmental and industrial services throughout North America, today announced the appointment of Karyn Polito to its Board of Directors, effective, expanding the Board to 13 members, of whom 12 are independent.

“Karyn is a terrific addition to our Board. She brings a wealth of experience across the public and private sectors, a proven record on environmental issues, and will provide valuable insights across multiple disciplines as a result. We look forward to her impact in key areas including government, regulatory and public affairs,” said Chairman and CEO, Alan McKim.

Karyn Polito will also join the Audit and Governance Committees.

The company also announced the nomination of Ed Galante as Lead Independent Director from the 2023 AGM on May 24, to succeed Dr. Eugene Banucci who will retire from the Board.
