– UK, Fareham – Chemring Group PLC (LON: CHG) announced the appointment of Pete Raby to its Board as an independent non-executive director effective on 1 September 2025.

He brings considerable experience, combining a strong technical and strategy background with significant business leadership experience of global manufacturing and engineering businesses. I am confident that he will make a strong contribution to the continued development and performance of the Company,” said Board Chairman Tony Wood.
Pete Raby will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration committees.
About Pete Raby
Pete Raby has a strong technical background and extensive experience in planning and executing business strategy across global technology and manufacturing operations. He is CEO of Morgan Advanced Materials plc, the FTSE-250 listed global manufacturer of advanced carbon and ceramic materials with 60 operating sites serving a diverse range of customers across a range of end-markets and employing approximately 8,600 people worldwide. He is highly regarded for having driven considerable transformation and operational improvement at Morgan over a sustained period. Pete Raby has been in this role for ten years and is due to retire on 1 July 2025.
Before joining Morgan, Pete Raby was President of the Communications and Connectivity sector of Cobham plc. He demonstrated strong leadership across a range of senior strategy, technology, and operational positions at Cobham over nine years. Before Cobham, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company in London, specialising in strategy and operations in the aerospace, defence, and power and gas sectors.
Pete Raby has a PhD in Satellite Navigation and a Master’s in Engineering, both from Leeds University.
Pete Raby is a Non-Executive Director of Hill & Smith plc.
