– DENMARK, Allerod – ChemoMetec A/S (CPH: CHEMM) today announced that its Board of Directors decided to strengthen the day-to-day management by appointing Steen Søndergaard as new CEO. The company has achieved considerable progress over a number of years, and both revenue and operating earnings have increased significantly. It is crucial for the Board of Directors to ensure the best framework and conditions for the continued development of ChemoMetec and the execution of the strategy.
The Board of Directors has appointed the company’s CFO, Claus Madsen, as CEO until the time Steen Søndergaard joins.
“It has recently become clear to the Board of Directors that it is not compatible with the company’s interests to have a CEO who resides outside Denmark. The Board of Directors wants a higher degree of daily presence at the head office in Allerød and also a greater involvement in daily operations. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that the change in management does not affect the company’s strategy and direction, nor does the change of director have any impact on the previously published expectations,” said Chairman of the Board of ChemoMetec, Preben Kønig.
The Board of Directors considers the employment of Steen Søndergaard as a strengthening of the company’s management and believes that Steen Søndergaard, together with the other management team, will have the right skills to be able to meet the future growth goals and continue ChemoMetec’s positive development.

Steen Søndergaard has more than 25 years of experience as a manager of companies in the technology and pharmaceutical industry. During his career, he has been responsible, among other things, for commercializing new products and also has extensive experience with global positioning, marketing and sales.
Steen Søndergaard has previously been sales director and then CEO of ChemoMetec and as a result, has a thorough knowledge of the company. Accession will take place as soon as possible.
