Ceiba Investments appoints Jemma Freeman to its Board as Independent Director

– GUERNSEY, St. Peter Port –  Ceiba Investments Limited (LON: CBA) today announced the appointment of Jemma Freeman to its Board as an independent, non-executive director with immediate effect.

About Jemma Freeman

Mrs Jemma Freeman is the Executive Chairman of Hunters & Frankau Limited, the appointed exclusive distributor for Habanos S.A.’s cigar portfolio in the United Kingdom. She joined the business of Hunters & Frankau in 2002, was appointed Managing Director in 2008 and Executive Chairman in 2019. The Freeman family have been involved with cigars since the 1800’s and with Cuba since the 1920’s when they owned cigar factories in Havana.

Before going into the cigar business Jemma was a Strategic Planner in the advertising industry. She currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of ITPAC, an Advisory Council established to support the tobacco trade in the UK. In 2013, Jemma was named “Habanos Man of The Year”, one of the most prestigious and illustrious prizes in the cigar world. Jemma also acts as a Trustee of a Cancer charity focused on immunotherapy research.
