Carr’s Group appoints Gillian Watson to its Board as Independent Director and next Senior Independent Director

– UK, Carlisle –  Carr’s Group (LON: CARR), the Agriculture and Engineering Group, today announced the appointment of Gillian Watson to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective on 9 October 2023, to succeed John Worby as Senior Independent Director on 31 October 2023.

Gillian’s wealth of executive and non-executive experience will be hugely beneficial to the Board as we continue to develop the Speciality Agriculture division and optimise the potential of the Engineering division. There is much to be done and I very much look forward to working with Gillian,” said Board Chairman, Tim Jones.

Gillian Watson will also join the Audit, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.

Gillian Watson has more than 30 years of executive and non-executive experience across a range of sectors and geographies. She is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Vidrala, S.A. and Scottish Friendly Mutual Insurance as well as Non-Executive Chair of Statera Energy, char.gy and DC 25 Investment Fund. Previously, she spent her executive career in corporate finance advisory, business strategy and energy.

Gillian’s past and present experience, knowledge of the energy sector and her contribution to business strategy and change at publicly listed companies will result in her invaluable input to Carr’s future.
