BT Group announces Rima Qureshi to join its Board as Independent Director

– UK, London –  BT Group plc (LON: BT.A) announced the appointment of Rima Qureshi to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective 2 March 2025, to bring a wealth of operational, strategic and telecommunications industry expertise gained over 30 years.

 “We are delighted to be welcoming Rima as a director in March. Her extensive operational, strategic and telecommunications experience will be of significant value to the Board and its committees,” said Board Chairman, Adam Crozier.

Rima Qureshi will also join the Audit & Risk, Nominati,ons, and Responsible Business Committees.

About Rima Qureshi

Rima has a wealth of operational, strategic, and telecommunications industry expertise. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of MasterCard and Loblaw Companies Limited. From 2017 to 2024, Rima was CSO and EVP of Verizon Communications. Before that, she gained extensive experience at Ericsson, with a career spanning over 20 years, including in the latter years as President and Chief Executive of Ericsson North America. Rima was also previously Deputy Chair of GSMA between 2020 and 2022 and a board member between 2017 and 2024, a Non- Executive Director of Great West Life and Wolters Kluwer, a Non-Executive Director of the Verizon Foundation between 2017 and 2024, and a Member of the Faculty Advisory Board at McGill University between 2018 and 2024.
