British Smaller Companies VCT2 appoints Barbara Anderson to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, Leeds –  British Smaller Companies VCT2 plc (LON: BSC) today announced the appointment of Barbara Anderson as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 October 2020.

Barbara is an experienced non-executive director who has worked extensively with SMEs, PLCs in regulated sectors, international private companies and venture capital specialists.

The Company also announced the resignation of Bob Pettigrew as a director with effect from 31 December 2020. Bob has served as a director since November 2000 during which time he brought his extensive experience of SME and technology investment to the Board.

About Barbara Anderson

An architect by training, Barbara is currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at Sovereign Housing Association and an independent director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at Smart DCC Ltd, which runs the secure national infrastructure that underpins the roll-out of smart meters across Great Britain. Until recently Barbara served as an independent board member at London Waste & Recycling Board and has served as an independent director of the London Green Fund. Her expertise includes innovation for growth and sustainability, strategic planning, start-up acceleration, business transformation and project delivery.
