boohoo group appoints Alistair McGeorge to its Board as Independent Director and deputy Chairman

– UK, Manchester –  boohoo group plc (LON: BOO), a leading online fashion retailer, today announced the appointment of Alistair McGeorge to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 31 March 2023, succeeding Brian Small as Deputy Chairman.

“Alistair has extensive board-level experience with some great retail brands. We look forward to working with him and are confident that he will help us deliver our ambition to be the global fashion leader,” said Executive Chairman, Mahmud Kamani.

Alistair McGeorge is joining the Remuneration, Nomination, Risk, and ESG committees as a member, and the Audit Committee as interim Chair.

In addition, Neil Catto stepped down as Executive Director with effect from 31 March 2023.

Alistair McGeorge is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of East Imperial plc and The Original Factory Shop and Chair of The Retail Trust, which supports retail employees. He has worked within the retail industry over the last 30 years and has been CEO and/or Chairman of multiple retail brands in the UK and internationally. Alistair is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
