Bluefield Solar Income Fund welcomes Glen Suarez to its Board as Independent Director

– UK, London –  Bluefield Solar Income Fund (LON: BSIF), the income fund focused primarily on acquiring and managing solar energy assets, today announced the appointment of Glen Suarez to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 30 October 2024.

His appointment completes the Company’s phased succession plan around the four founder directors of BSIF who took the company through its flotation in 2013. Glen brings to our Board extensive experience in the renewable energy and utilities sectors, as well as investment trusts. About Glen Suarez

Glen Suarez is chairman of Knight Vinke Asset Management, having previously held the roles of CIO and Deputy CEO. He is a senior adviser to FMAP Limited, a consultancy founded by Lord Maude that advised governments on implementing public sector reform. He was a committee member and co-chair of the Capital Markets Advisory Committee, an independent body advising on accounting issues and standards between 2014 and 2020. Before this, Glen Suarez was a Partner in Soditic Limited for four years and before that, he was head of the European energy, infrastructure, and utilities investment banking business at Morgan Stanley for eight years.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Royal Society of Arts.

Glen Suarez is the non-executive chair of Impax Environmental Markets plc which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. He was a non-executive director of Blackrock Throgmorton Investment Trust plc and non-executive chair of The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc, both listed on the London Stock Exchange.
