BAE Systems announces Jerry DeMurro as upcoming Executive Director, in charge of US business

– UK – The Board of BAE Systems plc announces that with effect from 1 February 2014 Jerry DeMuro will be appointed an executive director of BAE Systems plc and as President & CEO of BAE Systems, Inc. He served previously as executive vice president and corporate vice president for the Information Systems and Technology group at General Dynamics.

Sir Richard Olver, Chairman of BAE Systems plc, said:  “We are pleased that Jerry DeMuro will be joining the BAE Systems Board and welcome the knowledge and experience that he will bring to our future deliberations.”

Ian King, Chief Executive of BAE Systems plc, said:  “We are pleased Jerry has joined the Company to lead our business based in the United States. His experience will be of immense benefit as the Company strives to maintain its strong performance in the United States core defence market and increase its focus on new international and commercial opportunities.”

Linda P. Hudson, the current President & CEO of BAE Systems Inc., will retire from the Board on 1 February 2014.  The BAE Systems plc board of directors will then be as follows:
