– UK, Manchester – Auto Trader Group plc (LON: AUTO), the UK’s largest digital automotive marketplace, today announced the appointment of Jasvinder Gakhal to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective from 1 January 2022, bringing the Board to five Independent Non-Executive Directors, three Executive Directors and a Non-Executive Chairman.
“I am delighted to welcome Jasvinder to the Board. Her range of strategic and operational experience is a valuable addition. Jasvinder’s appointment is the first step in the renewal of our board, given that three Independent Non-Executive Directors are due to step down by 2024, having served three 3-year terms, starting around the time of Auto Trader’s 2015 IPO.” said Board Chairman, Ed Williams.
Jasvinder Gakhal will also join the Audit, Remuneration, Corporate Responsibility, and Nomination Committees.

Jasvinder Gakhal is Managing Director of Motor at Direct Line Group, before which she held several roles within Direct Line including most recently Chief Strategy Officer and before that Managing Director of Direct Line for Business. Before joining Direct Line Group in 2005, Jasvinder was a maths teacher.
