Aurora Investment Trust welcomes Helen Vaughan and Farah Buckley to its Board as Non-Executive Directors

– UK, London –  Aurora Investment Trust plc (LON: ARR) today announced the appointments of Helen Vaughan and Farah Buckley to its Board as non-executive directors effective immediately.

“I am delighted Helen and Farah are joining the Board. They both bring relevant and differentiated experience and knowledge, putting Aurora in a strong position for the future. On behalf of the Board, I welcome Helen and Farah and very much look forward to working with them.” said Board Chair, Lucy Walker.

Both Helen and Farah will become members of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Management Engagement Committee. Additionally, Farah will join the Audit Committee as Chair.

About Helen Vaughan

Helen has over 30 years of investment management experience. As COO for the JOHCM Group, Helen oversaw the transformation of its operating model to one which supported the rapid growth and also significantly reduced operational risk to the business, before retiring in September 2019. Before joining JOHCM Group in 2004, Helen was Director of Business Development at Credit Suisse Asset Management, and before that Head of Investment Operations at SLC Asset Management and Head of Client Accounting at Framlington. Helen is a Chartered Accountant with a BA (Hons) in Combined Arts from the University of Leicester. She currently serves as a non-executive director on three Irish fund boards and an Irish and UK management company. Helen is also a certified independent fund director.

About Farah Buckley

Farah has spent 20 years in financial services across Audit, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity and is currently an Independent NED at Lloyds of London managing agent Apollo Syndicate Management Limited. Previously the Head of Investment Solutions at Hermes GPE and the Head of UK at Adveq, Farah brings extensive experience in growth, innovation, and strategy with a particular focus on technology and ESG. Farah worked at boutique corporate finance house McQueen where she worked on numerous deals within the retail, consumer, and leisure sectors. She previously gained her ACA qualification at Deloitte. Farah sits as an Advisory Council member at Real Estate Balance, a non-profit campaigning for diversity in Real Estate, and throughout her career, she has been a member of committees including BVCA and the Global Thinkers Forum and Arts for India charities.
