– CANADA, White Rock – Asiamet Resources Limited (LON: ARS | TSX: ARS) today announced the appointment of Peter Chambers to its Board as a Non-Executive Director and the retirement of Dr. Peter Pollard from the Board.

About Peter Chambers
Peter Chambers has over 25 years of experience primarily in finance, telecommunications, and investment oversight. Mr Chambers is a representative of Asiamet’s largest shareholder, PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tkb. He holds the position of commissioner with DOID and its mining services company PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama. Mr Chambers also holds various non-executive director positions as disclosed in the table below and is a member of several the audit committees of the companies he is either a director of, or involved with. Mr Chambers was a director of PT Agincourt Resources, owner of the Martabe Gold Mine, located in North Sumatra, Indonesia, and an advisor to private equity firms Farallon Capital and Tiga Investments.
With an in-depth understanding of the financial and regulatory environment in Indonesia, his experience enhances the finance and governance capability of the Asiamet Board.
Mr Chambers holds a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting degree from RMIT, Melbourne.
