Amer Sports appoints Stuart Haselden as CEO of Arc’teryx Equipment

– FINLAND, Helsinki –  Amer Sports Corporation today announced the appointment of Stuart Haselden to the newly-created role of CEO, Arc’teryx Equipment, effective immediately, succeeding Jon Hoerauf, Arc’teryx President, who has decided to leave the Company to pursue other plans.

Stuart Haselden is a retail industry executive, and seasoned global operator, and is joining Arc’teryx Equipment, the global design company specializing in technical high-performance outerwear and equipment.

In this new role, Stuart Haselden will lead the global business strategy with a focus on building new vertical capabilities and accelerating regional expansion.

About Stuart Haselden

Haselden brings more than two decades of retail and vertical direct-to-consumer expertise to Arc’teryx with a proven record of innovative brand-building at premiere global leaders, including lululemon, J.Crew, and Saks. Most recently, he served as CEO for global lifestyle brand Away.

Haselden’s career spans more than 20 years of executive leadership at global apparel retailers. Before Away, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and CFO for lululemon athletica, inc. from 2015 to 2020, helping restore the brand’s profitability and leading its international business.

Previously, Haselden held roles including CFO, Treasurer, and VP, Finance for J. Crew Group, Inc. from 2006 to 2014. Before J.Crew, Haselden spent six years at Saks Incorporated where he served in several roles, including VP Strategic Planning. Haselden’s leadership experience also includes four years of active duty service as an armored cavalry officer in the U.S. Army.

He currently serves on the advisory board of the Harbert School of Business at Auburn University.
