– USA, OR – Airship, the Mobile app experience company, today announced the appointment of Cindy Davis to its Board as an Independent Director, bringing decades of executive leadership experience driving stronger customer relationships through digital-first strategies for leading brands including Bed Bath & Beyond, L Brands, The Walt Disney Company, Walmart, Sam’s Club and more.
“Cindy brings incredible perspective and insights in helping brands across retail, hospitality and entertainment realize more value from their digital initiatives — a mission, industries and many logos, we share in common. Her experience and perspective will infuse years of omnichannel customer experience leadership into our board and help Airship ignite what many brands have discovered — mobile apps are the digital center of customer experience and produce multiples in customer value and frequency compared to those that don’t have them,” said CEO, Brett Caine.
About Cindy Davis
Cindy is currently a board member of Destination Pet and serves on the Board of Trustees for William & Mary, Mason School of Business.
Most recently, Davis was Chief Brand Officer for Bed Bath & Beyond where she modernized its digital and in-store customer experiences and drove key transformational strategies, while also serving as President of its sister company, Decorist. Before that, she was EVP and Chief Digital Marketing Officer for L Brands. She drove innovative digital marketing solutions to engage customers across Victoria’s Secret lingerie, PINK, and Victoria’s Secret Beauty. At Disney ABC Television Group, Davis devised omnichannel strategies to deepen audience engagement as EVP Consumer Experience. Earlier executive leadership roles focused on elevating customer insights for business decision-making as EVP, Global Customer Insights and Analytics for Walmart, and EVP, Membership, Marketing, and eCommerce for Sam’s Club where she also launched its first mobile app. Davis’ earlier brand experiences span VP and SVP roles at Yum! Brands, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Hilton Worldwide, and Caesars Entertainment Corporation.
“Customer experience trends across industries, consumer adoption and behaviors, and brand value reflected in balance sheets and earnings reports frame the backdrop of why I’m so excited to join Airship’s board of directors,” said Cindy Davis. “Apps are the pinnacle of stronger, more durable customer relationships. Airship was not only first to help companies communicate with app customers, but is now tackling core resource and agility challenges that hamper every brand from maximizing value for everyone involved.”
