AbbVie appoints Board member Roxanne Austin as new Lead Independent Director

– USA, IL –  AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) today announced the selection of current independent director Roxanne Austin as lead independent director, effective July 1, 2024, succeeding Glenn Tilton who remains on the Board as an independent director.

Roxanne Austin is president of Austin Investment Advisors, a private investment and consulting firm. She chaired the U.S. Mid-market Investment Advisory Committee of EQT Partners from 2017 to 2023. Previously, Ms. Austin also served as the president and CEO of Move Networks, Inc., a provider of Internet television services. Roxanne Austin served as president and CEO of DIRECTV, Inc. She also served as EVP and CFO of Hughes Electronics Corporation and as a partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
