WSP Global welcomes Linda Galipeau to its Board of Directors

– CANADA, Montreal – WSP Global Inc. (TSX:WSP) today announced that Linda Galipeau, Chief Executive Officer, North America at Randstad NV, the Amsterdam-based global leader in human resources services, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of WSP and as Chair of the Governance, Ethics and Compensation Committee.

Commenting on the news, Mr. Christopher Cole, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation said, “We are happy to welcome Linda to the Board. Given the depth of her human resources and professional services experience, we are confident that she will compliment the current skill set of the Board and bring fresh ideas to invigorate and bolster our people pillar.”

WSP also announced that it has accepted the resignation of Josée Perreault from the Corporation’s Board of Directors and the Governance, Ethics and Compensation Committee, effective December 31, 2018. She has been a member of the Board since January 2014, at a time when WSP counted approximately 15,000 employees.

Linda Galipeau joined Randstad in 1995 and has been a member of their Executive Board since 2012. Over the years, Linda held various positions both in the United States and Canada, where she launched Randstad’s Canadian operation and grew it into one of the country’s leading HR services firms. She successfully integrated various acquisitions in the United States, including Vedior and SFN Group. Linda is also responsible for Randstad’s digital businesses, Monster and Risesmart, as well as the Randstad Innovation Fund, which invests in early stage technology companies, helping to bring new HR technology advancements to the marketplace.

Well acquainted with the professional services firms’ business model, Linda advocates for the development of internal talent and has implemented a rigorous people strategy that aims to attract, retain and promote key talent within the business. Linda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and a Master of Business Administration, both from McGill University.
