Sustainable Energy Fund appoints Robert Thomson and Bernard Zavatone to the Board of Directors

ALLENTOWN, Pa. USA – Andrew Stein, Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Fund’s Board of Directors announced the appointment of Robert S. Thomson, Regional Manager, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Bernard Zavatone, General Manager, Pneumatic Transportation Department, FLSmidth Company  to the Sustainable Energy Fund board of directors.

About Robert Thomson

Mr. Thomson brings over 26 years of experience with Ben Franklin Technology Partners where he helped develop early-stage, technology-oriented companies through management of technology incubator operation and investment of funds from Pennsylvania’s Ben Franklin Challenge Grant and Alternative Energy Development Programs. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Lehigh University, a Master’s of Science degree in Mineral Processing from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania.

About Bernard Zavatone

Mr. Zavatone began his work at FLSmidth Company in Bethlehem, PA in 1993 and has been serving as the General Manager of the Pneumatic Transportation Department since 2005. He has served in several other high-level capacities at FLSmidth including Sales Manager, Chief Engineer, and Project Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
