Servotronics appoints Luke Gygax to the Board of Directors

– USA, NY – Servotronics, Inc. (NYSE: SVT) announces the appointment of Lucion (Luke) P. Gygax, a Major in the Army National Guard with experience in supply chain management, human resources, and executive leadership, to the Board of Directors effective immediately.

Mr. Gygax is currently the Executive Officer of the 340th Brigade Support Battalion where he serves as chief of staff for a battalion of 600 personnel. He has over 25 years of experience with the United States Army and the Army National Guard, including prior leadership assignments as a Non-commissioned Officer, Battalion Support Operations Officer, Battalion Human Resources Officer, Battalion Operations Officer, Brigade Transportation Officer and Recruiting Company Commander. A decorated veteran of Operation Desert Storm and The Iraq War, Mr. Gygax is the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals, and several other awards.

Mr. Gygax received a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Psychology from Beliot College in Wisconsin, is a graduate of the United States Army Officer Candidate School, and is presently pursuing a Master of Arts in Transportation and Logistics from the American Military University in West Virginia. Additionally, Mr. Gygax has extensive training in logistics, human resources management, leadership, and Lean Six Sigma principles. He will serve on the Company’s Independent Directors Committee and Audit Committee.

Servotronics, Inc. is composed of two groups – the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) and the Consumer Products Group (CPG). The ATG primarily designs, develops and manufactures servo control and other components for various commercial and government applications (i.e., aircraft, jet engines, missiles, manufacturing equipment, etc.). The CPG designs and manufactures cutlery, bayonets, machetes and combat, survival, sporting, agricultural, and pocket knives for both commercial and government applications.
