– USA, CA – Resilient Network Systems, Inc., the leading provider of Trust Network solutions, today announced that the company has appointed the Honorable Billy Tauzin as member of their Board of Directors.
Tauzin had a long and distinguished 34-year elective career culminating in chairing the Energy and Commerce Committee (ECC) in the U.S. House of Representatives, which oversees interstate and foreign telecommunications, banking, energy and healthcare. Congressman Tauzin left his mark on natural gas, airline, trucking, and electricity deregulation; on the nation’s Clean Air Act; on Superfund, the historic Telecommunications Reform Act of 1996; on biomedical research, marine and natural resource acts; on pipeline safety; and on finance and consumer protection laws.
After leaving Congress in 2005, Tauzin was invited to become the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where he oversaw their participation in planning the Patient Protection and Affordable Healthcare Act. In 2010, he founded Tauzin Strategic Networks and Tauzin Consultants, LLC, a DC-based government relations, advocacy and strategic counsel organization. Congressman Tauzin now serves on the Boards of Directors of Entergy Corporation, LHC Group, the Alliance for Aging Research, the Medicine Access and Compliance Coalition, CaptureRx, PillGuard Medication Delivery Systems, and now Resilient Network Systems, Inc.
Resilient Network Systems values Congressman Tauzin, and his partners at Tauzin Consultants, for their legislative and regulatory advice, as well as their strategic planning and tactical support through their network of public figures, industry leaders and investors who are fostering innovative solutions to some of the world’s big challenges. “We are very pleased to have Congressman Billy Tauzin join the Resilient Network Systems Board of Directors. His knowledge of government and his strong advocacy in improving healthcare make him an ideal candidate to support Resilient as we work to roll out Trust Network capabilities to support improved information sharing and business outcomes,” stated Jonathan Hare, Resilient Network Systems’ Executive Chairman.
