– UK, London – Phoenix Group Holdings plc (LON: PHNX) today announced the appointment of Nick Lyons as Chair of the Board of Directors effective from 1 December 2023, to succeed Alastair Barbour who will retire from the Board.
Nick Lyons will also join the Nomination Committee as Chair.
Alastair Barbour said: “I am delighted that Nick is returning to the Board of Phoenix Group following his very successful tenure as Lord Mayor, where alongside other worthy achievements, he was instrumental in the successful launch of the “Mansion House Compact”. I wish Nick and Phoenix every success going forward.”
About Nicholas Lyons
Nick Lyons resigned from the same position on 1 September 2022 to take up the prestigious full-time role of Lord Mayor of the City of London beginning in November 2022 for a one-year term.
Nick Lyons said: “I am very much looking forward to returning to Phoenix in December. I would like to thank Alastair for doing a tremendous job as Chair during my sabbatical as well as for his enormous contribution and support for Phoenix over the past 10 years.”
