– UK – P2i has appointed electronics industry leader Tudor Brown to its board as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
An experienced director in the global electronics industry, Brown is former President and one of the founders of ARM Holdings plc – the world’s leading semiconductor intellectual property supplier.
Brown holds non-executive directorships with Lenovo, SMIC and Tessera. He is a Chartered Engineer, holding an MA (Cantab) Degree in Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University, and is a Fellow of both The Royal Academy of Engineering and The Institute of Engineering and Technology. This year Brown was awarded an MBE for services to the Electronics Industry.

Brown has a strong interest in working with UK technology companies as they develop into major global players. P2i is already working with international brands such as Motorola, Alcatel One Touch, Plantronics, Siemens and GN Resound, to add invisible water protection to tens of millions of consumer electronic devices annually.
“Tudor joins us at a critical point in the consumer electronics lifecycle,” Francis said. “Manufacturers are facing new water protection challenges as the integration of devices into consumer’s daily routine means they are increasingly being exposed to accidental water hazards.
“All-the-while, miniaturization of electronics and regulation over the metals used in soldering, means that without protection, devices are even more vulnerable to corrosion. Tudor has extensive experience in fast-moving technology markets such as ours.”
P2i was established in 2004 and remains the world leader in liquid repellent nano-coating technology. The company has over 65 patent families protecting its award winning technology and innovative application processes.
