New Europe Property Investments appoints to Board, Nevenka Pergar as Non-Executive Director and Mirela Covasa as Finance Director

– Isle of Man / Romania – New Europe Property Investments Plc (AIM: NEPI) announces the appointment to the Board of Directors of Nevenka Pergar as a Non-executive Director and Mirela Covasa as Finance Director with immediate effect.

Nevenka Pergar is the Director and owner of NP Consulting, a Slovenian legal and business consultancy. She specialises in advising international investors interested in the Slovenian region. Prior to this role Nevenka was an executive member of the Board at Aktivainvest, a private equity company. Additionally, Nevenka has held a number of positions in the Republic of Slovenia’s Government where she worked for over ten years. She has a law degree from the University of Ljubljana and an MBA fromClemson University, USA, and is a member of the Slovenian American Chamber of Commerce and Managers’ Associations of Slovenia.

Mirela Covasa joined NEPI in February 2012 as Finance Manager and has been responsible for the financial reporting. Mirela graduated with a finance degree from the  Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR). She has worked in accounting and auditing for thirteen years. Prior to NEPI she was Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she spent eight years performing audit assignments in Romania, Slovenia and India.

Victor Semionov, formerly the Company’s Finance Director, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Victor continues to be an executive director of the Company.
