Netskope appoints Enrique Salem to Board of Directors and four Top Executives to Advisory Board

– USA, CA – Netskope™, the cloud app analytics and policy company, today announced that former Symantec CEO Enrique Salem will join the Netskope Board of Directors. Salem’s appointment is accompanied by the addition of four new Netskope advisors, including The Coca-Cola Company chief of enterprise architecture Alan Boehme, former HP and Royal Dutch Shell CIO Mike Rose, Netflix vice president of IT operations Mike D. Kail, and former Cisco vice president of enterprise Alan Cohen.

As a Director, Salem will work closely with the executive team to help Netskope align its business with the dilemma CIOs face around the increasingly widespread use of cloud apps in their organizations. Cloud apps have emerged as a more agile and efficient way for employees to perform core business processes across every functional area of the enterprise. However, many of these apps are unsanctioned, and therefore difficult for IT to secure, audit and optimize.

“IT and security leaders are grappling with a major catch-22 when it comes to cloud apps,” said Salem. “Cloud apps let people and the business go fast; yet they are hard to keep secure and compliant. I look forward to working with the Netskope team to solve this dilemma for organizations, allowing them to embrace the cloud instead of holding it back.”

“We’re honored to have Enrique join our board of directors,” said Sanjay Beri, CEO of Netskope. “Enrique’s support validates the approach Netskope is taking to help enterprises embrace the cloud. We’re excited to work with him.”

The Netskope Board of Directors is led by Netskope CEO Sanjay Beri and includes Mamoon Hamid, General Partner and co-founder of The Social+Capital Partnership, where he has invested in and served on the boards of such disruptive cloud companies as Box and Yammer (Microsoft) and Arif Janmohamed, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and previously from the Corporate Business Development group at Cisco Systems.
