National Express Group appointed Matt Ashley as Group Finance Director

– UK – National Express Group PLC, a leading international public transport operator, with bus, coach and rail services in the UK, Continental Europe, North Africa and North America, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Ashley as Group Finance Director from 28 January 2015.

Mr Ashley was previously interim Group Finance Director, having been appointed to this role in October 2014 following the announcement that Jez Maiden would be leaving the Group to take up the role of Group Finance Director of Croda International Plc.

Mr Ashley joined National Express as Group Financial Controller in early 2010 from Deloitte where he was a Director specialising in transport and infrastructure and the auditing of listed companies. Matthew was then promoted to the role of Finance Director of UK Bus in 2013 before becoming interim Group Finance Director last year.
