MITIE Group welcomes Penny James to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, Bristol – Mitie Group plc (LON: MTO) today announced the appointment of Penny James to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, from 1 February 2024, bringing extensive financial services experience with strong leadership skills, and financial and risk expertise.

Penny James will also join the Nomination Committee as a member, and the Audit Committee as Chair-designate to succeed Mary Reilly when she steps down after the Annual Report and Accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Penny James was CEO and former CFO of Direct Line Insurance Group plc. Before this, she held several roles including Group CRO and Director of Group Finance at Prudential plc, Group CFO at Omega Insurance Holdings Limited, and CFO of UK General Insurance, at Zurich Financial Services.

Penny James is currently serving as a Co-Chair of the FTSE Women Leaders Review, Non-Executive Interim Chair for Hargreaves Lansdown, and Non-Executive Director of QBE Insurance Group Limited.
