Millennium & Copthorne Hotels announces Daniel Desbaillets to its Board as upcoming Independent Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (LSE:MLC), is pleased to announce that Mr Daniel Desbaillets will be joining the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 14 September 2016. Mr Desbaillets is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of M&C REIT Management Limited, the manager for CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust, and also of M&C Business Trust Management Limited, the trustee-manager for CDL Hospitality Business Trust. Both H-REIT and HBT are comprised as a stapled group in CDL Hospitality Trusts which is listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. Mr Desbaillets is expected to resign from his present appointments on the H-REIT manager board and the HBT trustee-manager board with effect from 13 September 2016.

Mr Desbaillets has extensive hospitality experience. He has been in the hospitality industry since 1973 holding senior positions with InterContinental Hotel Group, Hilton and Shangri-La. He was appointed to the boards of CDLHT as an Independent Non-Executive Director in July 2010.
