– UK – Legal & General Group Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Olaf Swantee as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 August 2014.
Olaf is Chief Executive of EE Ltd, the UK’s largest mobile phone operator and broadband provider. Olaf has worked in the technology sector for over 20 years with roles in Orange Group and Hewlett Packard/Compaq. Olaf will join the Nominations Committee and the Audit Committee.
John Stewart, Chairman, said: “I am very pleased Olaf has agreed to join the Board. He brings a wealth of technology and digital experience which the Board considers to be extremely important in the evolution of the Group’s digital strategy. He will be a valuable addition to the Board and I look forward to working with him.”
