Host Hotels & Resorts adds Mary Hogan Preusse to its Board as Independent Director

– USA, MD – Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:HST), today announced the appointment of Mary Hogan Preusse to the Company’s Board of Directors. With the addition of Ms. Hogan Preusse, the Company’s Board will be expanded to ten members, eight of whom are independent.

Ms. Hogan Preusse brings more than 25 years of REIT industry expertise to the Host Hotels Board of Directors.  Until May 2017, Ms. Hogan Preusse served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Americas Real Estate for APG Asset Management, managing $13 billion in REITs and other public real estate securities.  She served on the firm’s Executive Board from 2008-2017 and in 2015 received NAREIT’s E. Lawrence Miller Industry Achievement Award for her contributions to the industry.

Ms. Hogan Preusse has been an active participant in the REIT industry for 27 years.  Prior to joining APG in 2000, she was a sell-side analyst covering the REIT sector for eight years and began her career at Merrill Lynch as an investment banking analyst. She currently serves as a director on the boards of Kimco Realty Corporation; VEREIT, Inc.; and Digital Realty Trust, Inc. Ms. Hogan Preusse is a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine with a degree in Mathematics and has served as a member of Bowdoin’s Board of Trustees since 2012. She also serves on the steering committee of NAREIT’s Investor Advisory Council and is a member of the Real Estate and Infrastructure Advisory Board of the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
