Genesis Emerging Markets Fund announces Hélène Ploix as upcoming Non-Executive Chairman

– GUERNSEY, St. Peter Port – Genesis Emerging Markets Fund is pleased to announce that Hélène Ploix will succeed Coen Teulings as non-executive Chairman with effect from the day following the forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 29th October 2015.

Coen Teulings has advised that he will not put himself forward for re-election as a Director of the Fund at the Annual General Meeting. The Board would like to place on record their thanks to Mr Teulings for his many years of service to the Fund and its shareholders.

Hélène Ploix joined the Board as a non-executive director in October 2012. She is Chairman of Paris-based private equity firm Pechel Industries and has had an extensive career in finance and investment in the public and private sectors, both in France (primarily at the French state-owned Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations) and internationally (notably as an Executive Director at the IMF, World Bank and as a Member of the Investments Committee of the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund). She is currently a Non-Executive Director of Lafarge and Sofina (Brussels), non-executive Chairman of Sogama Crédit Associatif and was previously at a number of other companies, including The Boots Company PLC, BNP Paribas and Publicis. Mrs Ploix was educated at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, the University of California at Berkeley and INSEAD.
