Entertainment One announces Allan Leighton and Linda Robinson to Board as Non-Executive Directors

– CANADA, ON – Entertainment One Ltd. is pleased to announce the following Board appointments, effective 31 March 2014:

  • Appointment of Allan Leighton as Non-Executive Director and Chairman
  • Appointment of Linda Robinson as Non-Executive Director

James Corsellis stands down as Chairman, however he remains a Non-Executive Director of the Company, retaining his considerable experience and expertise on the Board.

Patrice Theroux also announces his decision to stand down from the Board in order to focus on leading Entertainment One’s global film business.

James Corsellis, Chairman, commented: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Allan Leighton to the Board. Allan brings a wealth of public market and business experience and we feel will be uniquely positioned to represent the interest of all shareholders as well as support the senior management team in this next stage of the Company’s evolution.

In addition, I would like to welcome Linda Robinson.  Linda brings to the Board her experience from alegal career spanning more than 30 years, including significant involvement in the media space.

Linda Robinson is a lawyer and former partner of Osler, Hoskin& Harcourt LLP, a leading Canadian law firm, where until her retirement in 2009 she was a senior partner in the Corporate group and Chair of Osler’s national business law department.

Her industry experience included broadcasting, publishing, entertainment and investment management. She has been a director of a number of companies, both public and private.

She is currently a director and Vice-Chair of Infrastructure Ontario, a crown corporation delivering and managing public sector initiatives.
