British Land announces Amanda James to join its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  British Land Company PLC (LON: BLND) today announced the appointment of Amanda James to its Board as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 1st July 2024.

“We are delighted that Amanda is joining the British Land Board. Amanda brings not only deep expertise in finance, but also strong consumer, retail and multi-channel experience. Her depth of retail expertise will provide valuable insight into the needs of our customers as we continue to execute our value add strategy.” said Board Chair, Tim Score.

Amanda James will also join the Audit Committee.

About Amanda James

Amanda James is CFO of NEXT Plc, one of the UK’s largest FTSE 100 fashion, footwear, and home retailers. She has an extensive background in finance, having joined the NEXT finance team over 28 years ago. Since then, she has held various roles within the finance department and was appointed CFO and joined the NEXT Board in 2015. Amanda has already announced her intention to step down from the NEXT Board with effect from 26th July and retire from NEXT at the end of September 2024.
