Bodycote announces Daniel Dayan to its Board of Directors as Non-Executive Chairman

– UK, Macclesfield –  Bodycote plc (LON: BOY) today announced the appointment of Daniel Dayan as Non-Executive Chair with effect from 1 January 2022, succeeding Anne Quinn who will retire and step down from the Board.

About Daniel Dayan

Daniel Dayan brings a wealth of international industrial manufacturing and public company experience to Bodycote. Daniel Dayan is currently Chairman of CellMark AB, the Swedish supply chain services and industrial materials distribution company. He has previously held positions as Chairman of Low & Bonar plc and Non-Executive Director of Chemring Group plc.

In his executive career he was CEO of Fiberweb plc, the international specialty industrial and construction materials business, for eight years, leading the business through its demerger from BBA Aviation in 2006, until its acquisition and delisting in 2013. He has more recently been CEO of global packaging groups, Linpac and Klöckner Pentaplast. Daniel spent his early career at Novar plc until 2005, where he held a number of executive positions including CEO of the Intelligent Building Systems Division. Prior to that, Daniel worked at ICI and management consultant, Arthur D Little.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, from the University of Cambridge.
