Young & Co’s Brewery appoints Ian McHoul to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London – Young & Co’s Brewery PLC (AIM:YNGA) announced today the appointment of Ian Philip McHoul as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1984 and then spent his early career in the brewing industry. In 1985, he joined Courage (which was subsequently acquired by the Foster’s Brewing Group) where he spent ten years and held various positions. He then became the finance and strategy director of the Inntrepreneur Pub Company Limited (1995 – 1998) before moving to Scottish & Newcastle plc (1998 – 2008) where he was the finance director of Scottish Courage prior to being appointed as the group finance director. Most recently (2008 – 2017), Ian was the chief financial officer of Amec Foster Wheeler plc and a member of the board.

In a non-executive capacity, Ian was appointed to the board of Britvic Plc in March 2014, becoming their senior independent director just over three years later in September 2017, and joined the board of John Wood Group plc in October 2017 following its acquisition of Amec Foster Wheeler. Ian was also a non-executive director of Premier Foods plc for nine years until 2013.

Commenting on the appointment, Stephen Goodyear, Chairman, said: “I am delighted that Ian has agreed to join our board. He has operated at the highest level as a chief financial officer of some well-known businesses and has strong experience as a non-executive.
