Yottaa appointed John McMahon to its Board of Directors

– USA, MA – Yottaa, Inc., the leading provider of automated Application Optimization solutions for the enterprise, today announced that John McMahon has joined the company’s Board of Directors. McMahon, one of the most respected executives in the software industry, has held senior management positions at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), Cisco, Ariba, BladeLogic and BMC Software.

Leveraging his 25-plus years of senior-level management experience at product lifecycle management, networking, e-procurement, data center automation, cloud computing and IT operations technology companies, McMahon will help Yottaa scale to meet the growing demand for its automated Application Optimization solutions. Over the past year Yottaa has experienced a tremendous increase in revenue with eleven consecutive quarters of record revenue and year-over-year revenue growth of 133%. Total Q3 2014 bookings increased 129% over Q3 2013 and increased 20% over Q2 2014 bookings. During the past year the average sales price (ASP) for Yottaa’s solutions increased more than 100%.

McMahon has had an illustrious career in the enterprise software sector leading sales, professional services, customer services and marketing teams at five public and several venture-backed, high-growth software companies. Prior to joining Yottaa’s Board of Directors, McMahon served as Senior Vice President of Go-to-Market Initiatives and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Services at BMC Software, a $2 billion IT systems management software company. Prior to BMC, McMahon served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for BladeLogic. During his tenure, BladeLogic grew over 100% year-over-year and McMahon played a key role in transforming the company from its start-up stages to its successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2007 and ultimately its $800 million acquisition by BMC Software.

Before BladeLogic, McMahon served as the President & CEO of HighRoads Inc., (formerly IE-Engine, Inc.). Prior to that, McMahon served as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Operations for Ariba, Inc. (acquired by SAP for $4.3 billion). Before Ariba, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for GeoTel Communications Corporation, which was later acquired for $1.9 billion by Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO), where he then served as Vice President of Worldwide Software Sales. Prior to GeoTel, McMahon was with Parametric Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:PTC) as the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing during which time PTC’s revenue grew to over $1 billion. McMahon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
