YES Bank adds R Gandhi and Ananth Narayan to its Board of Directors

– INDIA, Mumbai –  Yes Bank (LON: 16ER | NSE: YESBANK) today announced that the Reserve Bank of India, has appointed former deputy governor R Gandhi and former banker Ananth Narayan on the board as additional directors for two years, effective 26 March

Narayan is an associate professor at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research and was earlier at Standard Chartered Bank as its regional head of financial markets for ASEAN and South Asia.

Gandhi was appointed to Yes Bank’s board in May as an additional director till 13 May 2021 and is being reappointed after the board was superseded on 5 March.

Private sector lender Yes Bank was under a moratorium from 5 March to 18 March after the central bank superseded its board and appointed former SBI CFO Prashant Kumar as its administrator.

Kumar has been appointed chief executive of Yes Bank and Sunil Mehta, former non-executive chairman of Punjab National Bank as its non-executive chairman. Other members on the board are Mahesh Krishnamurthy and Atul Bheda.
