– USA, CA – Woodside Capital Partners International LLC, a global, independent investment bank, announced today that Darrell Kong has joined the firm as Managing Director and the firm’s Chief Strategy Officer, and Steven Wade has joined as Managing Director focusing on the gaming industry.
As WCP continues to broaden the spectrum of companies it works with, Kong will help emerging technology clients raise venture capital funding as well as facilitate client introductions to potential strategic partners within the WCP community. As WCP’s CSO, he will have a leadership role in developing the firm’s growth strategy and identifying innovative opportunities to provide value-added expertise to clients most effectively.
Prior to joining WCP, Kong led the business development efforts for several professional service firms including Fenwick and West, MoFo, DLA Piper and BPM.
Kong is a graduate of UCLA and Columbia Business School.

Wade brings 19 years of game industry experience to WCP and will focus on helping interactive entertainment companies with technology and market insight, corporate development, and M&A.
Before joining WCP, Wade spent his career launching 45 online games, four gaming payment solutions, and eight game portals alongside many well-known entertainment companies such as Square Enix, VISA/Playspan, SOHU/Changyou, Ty Inc., and Aeria Games as an executive or angel investor. He is also an entrepreneur, creating and selling three companies of his own: MMOsmart LLC, Zyon Games Inc., and Boilingcore.com. In addition, Wade spent eight years working in the Asian Pacific region acting as a gaming advisor to the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese governments.
Wade received a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from West Virginia University. He currently serves as a board member for various companies in the video game sector, including eSports networks, gaming studios, and productivity tool developers.
