– UK, Leeds – William Hill PLC (LON: WMH), announces the appointment of Lynne Weedall as an Independent Non-executive Director to its Board of Directors with effect from 1 July 2019.
Roger Devlin, Chairman of William Hill commented: “We are delighted that Lynne will be joining the Board of William Hill. Lynne’s broad experience with organisations undertaking operational and cultural change will further support the Board’s efforts and focus on delivering on our strategy.”
On joining the Board, Lynne will become a member of the Board’s Corporate Responsibility, Nomination, and Remuneration Committees.
Following the appointment of Lynne to the Corporate Responsibility Committee, Robin Terrell will step down from the Committee with effect from 1 July 2019.

Lynne is currently a Non-executive Director and Remuneration Committee chair of Greene King plc ((LON:GNK), the UK’s largest pub retailer and brewer and Non-executive Director of Treatt Plc, (LON:TET) an ingredients manufacturer and solutions provider to the global flavour, fragrance and consumer markets. A former HR director of Selfridges Group, and prior to that Dixons Carphone where she also led the merger integration, Lynne brings a wealth of experience of HR, Strategy and organisational transformation gained from a variety of roles in the retail sector and elsewhere.
