Wheatley Group Capital announces Jo Armstrong as next Chairman of the Board of Directors

– UK, Glasgow – Wheatley Housing Group Limited (LON:60RZ) today announced the appointment of its board member Jo Armstrong as the new Group Chair, to succeed Alastair MacNish who will be retiring as Group Chair in September 2021 at the AGM in September.

About Jo Armstrong

One of Scotland’s leading independent business economists, Jo Armstrong joined the board in 2015 and is currently chair of the Group Development Committee.

Her extensive professional career spans financial services, the Scottish civil service and charitable sector. A panel member of the Competition and Markets Authority, she is a member of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland, chair of hub West Scotland and a member of the IoD Scotland’s Advisory Board. Previously, she chaired OFGEM’s expert panel for its Electricity Network Innovation Fund; was a budget advisor to two Scottish parliamentary committees; an honorary professor of Public Policy at Glasgow University; and is a former chair of ENABLE Scotland. She will take over as chair when Alastair steps down at the Wheatley AGM in September.
