Wameja announces James Hume to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, London –  Wameja Limited (LON: WJA.L | ASX: WJA), a joint venture partner in the HomeSend global payments hub, today announced the appointment of James Hume as a Director of Wameja with immediate effect. Mr Hume is currently working out his notice as an employee of Wameja and he will become a Non-executive Director once his employment with Wameja ceases.

“James’ contribution to Wameja is highly valued by his Board colleagues and this appointment recognises that value to the Company and the importance of keeping James involved in the Company and in its investment in HomeSend once his employment with the Company ends,” said John Conoley, Executive Chairman, Wameja.

About James Hume

Mr Hume has held Senior Executive positions with Wameja for more than a decade. He was appointed COO of eServGlobal in 2017 to prepare the legacy business for sale, a process he led to successful completion earlier in 2019. Prior to this, he held the role of CTO at eServGlobal overseeing the development of the platform around which the HomeSend entity was first created, and which grew into the JV with Mastercard. He has served as a Director on the Board of HomeSend since 2015, working closely with the Wameja Board over that period.
