Walker Greenbank appoints Dame Thompson to its Board of Directors as Non-Executive Director and Chairman designate

– UK, Denham – Walker Greenbank PLC (LON:WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group, today announced the appointment of Dame Dianne Thompson as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman Designate.

Dianne Thompson is a highly experienced sales and marketing executive with an extensive track record in operational management in consumer businesses. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of Next plc, the multi-channel retailer.

From 2000 until 2014, Dianne Thompson was chief executive of Camelot Group plc, the UK National Lottery provider. Prior to that role, she held marketing and general management positions in a number of consumer and building materials businesses including Signet Group plc, Sandvik Saws & Tools Ltd and ICI Paints.

Dianne Thompson will join the Board on 1 February 2019, initially as a Non-Executive Director. Once a new Chief Executive Officer has been appointed, Dianne will become Non-Executive Chairman and Christopher Rogers, currently Interim Executive Chairman, will return to being a Non-Executive Director.

The ongoing recruitment of a new Chief Executive Officer is progressing well and a further announcement will be made in due course.
