[ARCHIVE] Voya Financial appoints Lynne Biggar to its Board of Directors

– USA, NY – Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE:  VOYA), announced today that Lynne Biggar, 52, executive vice president of consumer marketing + revenue for Time Inc., has joined the company’s board of directors, effective today.

At Time Inc., Biggar leads a global team of more than 1,300 professionals charged with developing and executing consumer-driven business and product strategies across the portfolio, including digital transformation, innovation, pricing, customer acquisition, and retention.

Prior to joining Time Inc. in 2013, Biggar held several leadership roles at American Express and was a member of the company’s global management team. Most recently, she was executive vice president and general manager for international card products and experiences. In this role, she oversaw product strategy, management, and print and digital delivery for card products, as well as travel and lifestyle benefits across 24 global markets, including American Express’s industry-leading Centurion and Platinum product lines. She joined American Express in 1992.

Biggar is a board member of Travelfuture and the New 42nd Street. She was named one of Folio’s Top Women in Media in 2014 and one of the top 25 most influential women in travel by ForbesLife Magazine in 2008. She received an MBA in marketing and organizational management from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business in 1990 and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University in 1984.
