Trupanion appoints Robin Ferracone to the Board of Directors and its Compensation Committee

– USA, WA – Trupanion, Inc. (NYSE: TRUP) announced its Board of Directors has appointed Robin Ferracone to the Board as a member of its Compensation Committee. Murray Low, Chairman of the Board, stated, “Robin is a recognized world leader on corporate compensation, and we look forward to her expertise and contribution to the Board.”

Robin Ferracone brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Trupanion as the CEO of Farient Advisors, a performance advisory and strategic compensation firm. Previously she was at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.; a global professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital. At Marsh McLennan, she was President of the Global Human Capital Business, domiciled in 40 offices around the world, including Latin AmericaBrazilEuropeIndia and China.

Harvard Business School graduate, Ferracone was named to the prestigious 2014 NACD Directorship 100, her fourth time receiving this award, making her one of the most influential people in corporate governance and in the boardroom. As the author of the book “Fair Pay, Fair Play: Aligning Executive Performance and Pay,” she is highly regarded for her expertise in performance measurement and linking executive compensation with corporate strategy. She is also an experienced director having served on a number of boards, including her current appointments on the board of two Oaktree Capital mutual funds and Duke University, where she earned her BA in Economics and Management Science, and her prior appointment on the board of PayScale, Inc. (a private equity backed cloud-based compensation data and software company). She also served as a non-Executive Chairman of A Breed Apart Veterinary Centers, which was sold to VCA Inc.
