– UK – Travis Perkins Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Redfern and John Rogers as non-executive directors with effect from 1 November 2014.
Pete is currently Chief Executive of Taylor Wimpey plc and is also a Chartered Accountant. Pete was previously Chief Executive of George Wimpey Plc and prior to that, he held the roles of Chief Executive and Finance Director of its UK Housing division.
John is currently Chief Financial Officer of J Sainsbury plc and a member of the Board of Sainsbury’s Bank plc. During his career at Sainsbury’s he has held the posts of Property Director, Director of Group Finance and Director of Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Sainsbury’s, John held a variety of financial, operational and strategy roles.

The Board considers that there is no conflict of interest arising from Pete Redfern’s current position due to the fact that direct business between Travis Perkins and Taylor Wimpey is of a de minimis nature. The Board will adopt appropriate procedures to deal with any conflict which may arise.
