– USA, NY – The Taiwan Fund, Inc. (NYSE:TWN) announced today that the Fund’s Board of Directors has elected William C. Kirby to serve as Chairman of the Board, effective October 14, 2016, until the earlier of his retirement, resignation or removal.
The Fund is a diversified closed-end investment company, which seeks long term capital appreciation primarily through investments in equity securities listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
